tapeutils
tapeutils is a set of utility programs using a tapeio library (included)
to work with any mix of local tape drives, remote tape drives (using rmt),
and tape image files in John Wilson's format.
The utilities include:
- tapecopy
- Copy tapes - useful for copying tapes between drives or to/from
image files, while preserving record lengths and file marks.
- tapedump
- Inspect the contents of a tape
- t10backup
- Extract files or list directories of TOPS-10 'BACKUP' tapes.
It is based on an earlier program simply called backup. The
original author is unknown.
- read20
- Extract files or list directories of TOPS-20 'DUMPER' tapes.
Originally by Jim Guyton, modified by Jay Lepreau.
